Bulletin and Church Confirmation Preparation Teams
Beginning in the summer before their 6th grade in school and continuing through the summer following their 8thgrade year, young people of St. Paul’s are placed on an “Acolyte Working Team.” Through their participation on a team, the youth perform a vital ministry that gives glory to God and accomplish a vital service that blesses the congregation at large. On Friday afternoons at 4 p.m. the assigned team members for the month come to the church to:
…. Collate and staple bulletins in the Parlor
Although the day and hour has proven to be workable for most of the youth and their families, it is understandable that it doesn’t work for a few of the youth – due to distance and other factors. In that event, you may bring your young person to the church on Saturday between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. to perform his/her service. If your only difficulty with Friday afternoons is transportation, please try to arrange a ride with another team member.Parents are asked to stay and work with the youth as they are able. Please view your participation as a vital way in which a parent can reinforce in their young person a sense of service to God and others. Find enclosed the schedule. Please check the information over carefully. Call the church office with additions or corrections. We especially need your correct contact information. – Pastor Phil / Pastor Bri / Julie Guiberteau
